Supervise the financial department, including accounts receivables, accounts payable, auditing, payroll, general accounting, and general cashiers.

Establishes or recommends to management, major economic objectives and policies for the resort.

Prepares reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.

Prepares financial statement within the time frames supplied in the Corporate closing schedule and according to Company's Policies and Procedures.

Prepares accurate cash flow statements and projections on a monthly basis and on request.

Preparation of month-end balance sheet account reconciliation and analysis.

Develops the Annual Operating & Capital Budgets, Strategic Plan, and Monthly Operating Forecasts. Develops appropriate performance and benchmark measures for cost control functions.

Maintain CAPEX, fixed asset records and depreciation schedules. Arranges for audits of company's accounts.

Maintains files of all contracts, insurance coverage for protection against losses and potential liabilities. Coaches and develops team members.

This person will work closely with the President (who is also the owner), EVP/CFO, Controller and Human Resources to ensure property goals and objectives are met.

This job is working with the property General Managers in a mentoring manner to make sure the properties are performing at a maximum.

 

The job is very much a hands-on management with the property people and not a desk type job. 

 

We are looking for someone who has experience overseeing OPERATIONS, SALES, MARKETING, PUBLIC RELATIONS, AND FOOD & BEVERAGE.  Just having experience in one of these areas is not enough experience.

 

The ideal candidate is someone who is currently managing at least 10 hotels or more directly and not through a number of regional or area directors.
